Department Overview The Process Engineering and Labor department is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. It serves as a technical backbone for production, driving continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing methods.

Requirements

  • Currently a student earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Must be graduating between May 2026 and August 2027

Nice To Haves

  • An eye for process improvement
  • Working knowledge of PC business software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation
  • Proven and demonstrated teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Observe each process closely ("gemba").
  • Learn each process in detail by talking with technicians and engineers.
  • Conduct time studies of each process and/or pull and analyze data to improve the accuracy of our capacity model.
  • Create a list of opportunities for improvement throughout the factory-yours and those of the people with whom you talk.
  • Implement at least one significant improvement
