About the Role At Whirlwind Steel, we design and manufacture high-quality metal building systems used across a wide range of industries. As a Manufacturing Support Associate, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping our production operations running efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, thrives in a team environment, and is looking to grow within a manufacturing setting.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Basic knowledge of manufacturing or industrial environments is helpful
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
Good teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn, adapt, and take direction
Experience operating an overhead crane is a plus, but not required
Basic math skills to support measurements and production tasks

Responsibilities

Support daily production activities by moving materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility
Assist operators and team members on the production line as needed
Perform basic quality checks to identify visible defects or inconsistencies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times
Prepare tools, equipment, and work areas for upcoming production runs
Follow all company safety standards and report any concerns immediately
Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to keep workflow on track
Take initiative to learn new skills and contribute to process improvements
Complete additional tasks as assigned to support production needs
