About The Position

The Manufacturing Finance Controller serves as a strategic finance business partner to the Division VP of Operations and manufacturing site leadership. This role oversees all aspects of divisional financial management — including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance analytics — to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • BS in finance or accounting.
  • 7+ years Financial analysis, with manufacturing operations or manufacturing site experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and BI dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong business acumen, communication, and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead financial projects and support change initiatives in dynamic manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

  • Plant Controller or similar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range financial planning for the division.
  • Manage monthly close, reporting, and variance analysis, providing insight into trends and root causes.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial reviews, highlighting key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Maintain robust forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and agility in financial projections.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to identify and execute cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor operational KPIs (productivity, throughput, yield, scrap, etc.) to drive performance accountability.
  • Provide profitability and margin analysis by business segment, product, and customer to support strategic pricing and portfolio decisions.
  • Analyze capital expenditure proposals, ensuring alignment with financial return criteria.
  • Track and forecast capital project spend, ROI, and alignment to strategic initiatives.
  • Support scenario modeling and business case development for new investments, technology, or capacity expansion.
  • Ensure financial controls align with corporate policies and GAAP.
  • Lead quarterly excess and obsolete inventory (E&O) reserve reviews.
  • Support Board and executive presentations with accurate and insightful financial data.
  • Develop and distribute ad-hoc reports and dashboards for leadership visibility.
