Job Description Start Your Career in R&D as a Technician I (Manufacturability & Facilities)! Are you looking to begin a career in science, research, or food production? Join our R&D team as a Technician I , where you’ll get hands-on experience working with real products, real equipment, and a team that’s excited to help you grow. What You’ll Do As an R&D Technician, you’ll support our scientists and researchers as we develop new pet food and flavor products. You don’t need years of experience—just a willingness to learn, work hard, and be part of a collaborative team. Your day-to-day work may include: Setting up and operating basic food processing equipment (we’ll train you!) Preparing pet food samples for testing Weighing and measuring ingredients Assisting with simple flavor or product prep Keeping equipment and workspace clean, safe, and organized Recording data and monitoring equipment using electronic logs Rotating through different tasks and learning new skills across the lab What We’re Looking For This is a great role for someone starting out, switching careers, or looking to build hands-on technical experience. You may be a great fit if you: Are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable following step-by-step instructions Can do basic math (ratios, percentages) and simple data entry Are familiar with MS Word and Excel Are willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for periods of time Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with coworkers Want to learn new equipment, safety practices, and lab procedure A background in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field, or 2+ years of hands-on lab/production experience is beneficial but not mandatory . No specialized lab experience? No problem. We provide on-the-job training and support to help you feel confident in the role.
