About The Position

Join API Heat Transfer and help shape the future of thermal technology. We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support our production operations and drive process improvements across our heat exchanger manufacturing lines.

Requirements

Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Familiarity with mechanical systems, tooling, and industrial automation.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand, walk, and work in a production environment for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing and implementing process improvements to boost efficiency, quality, and safety.
Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment including fin machines, stackers, welders, and assembly tools.
Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations.
Support equipment installations, modifications, and validations.
Document process changes, equipment settings, and standard operating procedures.
Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Contribute to quality assurance by identifying root causes of defects and implementing corrective actions.
Train operators and maintenance staff on new processes and equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
