About The Position

MFG engineering technicians work under the guidance and direction of manufacturing engineers and under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. MFG Engineering Technicians provide support for both engineering and the production shop floor by aiding in identifying and executing continuous improvement activities and providing support for product and process development. Provide shop level support and documentation for manufacturing engineers and production by conducting First Article Inspection Team duties for new products or series updates. Document and create part/assembly work instructions for assigned processes Investigate and document continuous and quality opportunities for assigned production processes as it pertains to new and existing part/assembly production including tooling, fixturing, equipment capabilities, and associated material handling processes Participate in manufacturing engineering team design reviews Create, load, update, and facilitate MOM/BOM creation or updates into Kinetic that are derived from ECO’s or document mark-ups either directly or through CADlink Create, simulate, document, and test machine programs and files for first article production and/or ECO’s Assist in the design, deployment, and commissioning of equipment, fixturing, and processes. Establish best practices and provide guidance to machinery preventive maintenance, repair parts availability, and support documentation to achieve highest equipment uptime. Participate in and execute efforts to optimize shop floor OEE for assigned processes Observe, document, and assist implementation efforts of continuous improvement opportunities for assigned processes related to safety, quality, service, cost, and efficiency

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Minimum 3 years of related manufacturing experience
  • Microsoft O365
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • Solid understanding of engineering standards
  • Foundational knowledge of machinery assembly, coating, welding, and CNC manufacturing processes
  • Lifting and Carrying up to 50 lbs.

  • Pushing and Pulling
  • Sitting and Alternating positions

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or higher in engineering or related science
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Minimum Yellow Belt level certification in Lean Six Sigma
