Manufacturing Engineering Technician
About The Position
Responsibilities and duties are primarily administrative in nature with core activities centered on production support. Actions are pursued under the direction of or in support of a manufacturing engineer (ME). Assist ME’s with establishing lean manufacturing in production cells. Work with production associates to identify and correct issues with process documentation. Modify/edit/update manufacturing procedures and perform document change procedures. Generate purchase/fabrication requests for production tooling and equipment. Data collection and reporting of production processes. Generation of engineering work orders. Assist MEs with the design and implementation of tooling and process improvement projects. Assist MEs with engineering analysis (failure mode and effects analysis, process hazard analysis etc.). Execution and summarization of engineering studies/experiments including coordination and oversight of engineering/pre-production builds. Make recommendations for production process improvements. Assist with production readiness reviews and project kick-off actions. Data collection and initial analysis of process data in support of ME initiatives. Fill in when needed on other functions other than the basic, including supporting production areas that do not have a dedicated ME. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-3 years related experience.
- Computer competency – Microsoft Office Apps
- Willingness and ability to travel to Hollister, CA up to 75% during the first 90 days for training and onboarding.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.

- Two-year technical degree preferred.
