A Day in the Life The Engineering Technician III will function as a key technical support resource within Manufacturing Engineering, with a primary focus on supporting Industrial Engineering activities. This role plays a critical part in enabling manufacturing efficiency, data accuracy, and continuous improvement by supporting time studies, standard work development, layout updates, and manufacturing system data maintenance. The Engineering Technician III works under limited supervision and partners closely with Senior Industrial Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Operations Excellence (Opex) to support labor analysis, process improvements, layout updates, and operational readiness activities across the site. Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience conducting time studies and labor observations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with manufacturing data, reports, and metrics
  • CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for layout and workstation design
  • Power BI developing experience.
  • Familiarity with standard work documentation and labor modeling
  • Experience supporting layout optimization or space utilization projects
  • Exposure to Lean, MPS, or Operational Excellence initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes and products.
  • Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data, including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities, to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment, or products.
  • Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.
  • Conducts, analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root-cause analyses.
  • Maintains process designs to optimize process, equipment and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
