Overview Within the Manufacturing Engineering scope, the Product Planning team evaluates, reports, and achieves manufacturability KPI’s by consulting with R&D on optimal product design. Success is achieved by intimate knowledge of product design, production process and program management. The Manufacturing Engineering – Program Management is responsible for tracking, reporting and synthesizing of the financial and technical KPIs across the projects. You will report to the Manager, Plant Production Coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering , program management or similar
  • 3+ years professional experience with expertise in manufacturing engineering, production planning and/or project management
  • knowledge of vehicle engineering processes, project planning software and problem-solving skills
  • very good communication and networking skills
  • Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships.
  • Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Aligning the tasks and available resources within manufacturing engineering.
  • Tracking and improving the financial status and budget to meet the project targets.
  • Guiding a team of technical experts in a program manager role.
  • Summarizing reports of the technical departments to an overall statement and report in the committees of Scout.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, production control, and engineering to develop an overall technical statement on technology (product and process requirements, manufacturability) of the Production business unit.
  • Supporting the Director Product Planning in budget planning and organizing the contracts for external support
  • Using cross-departmental collaboration to meet and exceed company goals and objectives in the field of design for manufacturing.
  • Coordinating activities within the leadership team to steer all activities for maximum support of the company’s goals
  • Identify and implement improvements to the current working processes and reports
