About The Position

Our Engineering team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This would be a full-time, on-site role located in Jacksonville, TX reporting to our Plant Manager. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and managing manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and tool & die shop functions to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective production of HVAC products. This role owns the design, development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes, production equipment, tooling, and dies. The position ensures high equipment uptime, robust tooling capability, disciplined preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement across engineering and technical support functions. Close coordination with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain is required to meet plant safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role, preferably in the HVAC or related industry.
  • Proven experience in process design, project management, and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC products and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in process optimization and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems).

Nice To Haves

  • A Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Tool & Die teams; establish clear expectations, standard work, and performance discipline.
  • Own the design, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.
  • Own preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime, reliability, and asset performance.
  • Lead the design, build, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tooling, dies, fixtures, and gauges to support production and quality requirements.
  • Lead engineering projects including NPI, equipment installations, automation, tooling upgrades, and capacity expansions, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Ensure processes, equipment, and tooling meet quality standards; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process and equipment-related issues.
  • Deploy lean manufacturing, TPM, and structured problem-solving to improve productivity, reduce waste, and lower cost.
  • Ensure engineering, maintenance, and tool room activities comply with EHS requirements; enforce machine safety, guarding, and LOTO standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets for engineering, maintenance, tooling, and capital; control labor, spare parts, contractors, and tooling costs.
  • Track and report KPIs (OEE, downtime, tooling performance, project execution); partner with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to achieve plant goals.
