We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our Conroe, TX team. You will provide technical program leadership for the manufacturing engineers and lead the machine and facility maintenance teams for Conroe, TX campus. This role will champion preventative maintenance measures and be a key leader of the capital improvement strategy. In addition, this role will provide technical and facility management support to resolve issues and coordinate with other departments. This position will report to the site leader and will support strategic decisions that affect facility productivity and overall transformation. You will: Be a strong communicator and change agent, driving alignment between teams and coordinating resources. Create processes that drive smooth execution of project and maintenance work, including championing the management of change. Reduce equipment downtime, maintenance, and facility cost. Teach and coach teams on preventative maintenance strategies, set KPI’s and communicate results. Creates and drives alignment for future in both maintenance and capital improvements. Sets capital strategy for improved site productivity and increased use of automation. Prioritizes safety in leading of team and enforcement of safe practices. Take responsibility for planning and cost control of the maintenance function, and for coordination of maintenance activities with production managers and supervisors. Works with production supervision to ensure assigned maintenance is being performed by operators Implements preventative and predictive maintenance and TPM programs. Evaluates performance and qualifications of maintenance employees and provides training and guidance as required. Establishes and maintains effective communication with plant management to promote understanding of the maintenance function and enhance its perceived value to the organization. Supports lean efforts including execution of transformation plan, CCFF/MMF/TPM events. Champions energy savings ideation and projects. Key members of Delavan Leadership Team are responsible for establishing and enforcing policy. Helps operating teams to become more autonomous, transferring knowledge from the maintenance and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management
  • Demonstrates understanding of maintenance management best practices
  • Exemplary communication skills, oral and written with proven record of gaining alignment
  • Experience in capital project management
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
