Project Overview Work with Business Execution, Engineering, Quality and Skilled labor to improve documentation for refurbishing and rewinding GE 7FH2 Generator Fields. Assignment will include mapping process, editing current standard plans, improving data sheets/protocols, standardizing shop floor packages, and submitting all information into Quality Management system. Project Outcomes Up to date and properly documented process information for the work scope of refurbishing and rewinding a GE 7FH2 generator field. Primary skills developed Start to finish view of a power generation refurbishment work scope. Appreciation for tasks and challenges faced by the hourly skilled labor. Understanding of required accuracy when collecting data and information. Knowledge of how instructions and drawings move through a manufacturing organization. First-hand experience interfacing with GE Quality Management System.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergrad degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Completed at least 2 years of university
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
