Position Overview: Perform tasks and assignments to support project objectives by applying engineering principles and concepts to formulate solutions. Learning Outcomes: Use time studies and process flows to make production line improvements Work with team members to achieve short term milestones as assigned by project teams. Design, document, and review detailed work instruction and line layouts to achieve team objectives.

Requirements

  • Sparton interns must meet the following criteria:
  • Active pursuit of a Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
  • Prefer Industrial/ Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Use time studies and process flows to make production line improvements
  • Work with team members to achieve short term milestones as assigned by project teams.
  • Design, document, and review detailed work instruction and line layouts to achieve team objectives.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work on-site in De Leon Springs, FL
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Course Completion in Ergonomics, Automation, and LEAN manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Support production as assigned by Product Support Teams
  • Support production program failures and analyses as needed
  • Process work instruction changes
  • Support small automation/ operator assistive project design
  • Support tool and fixture design
  • Other assignments may be added / adjusted as applicable
