Build Business Cases: Quantify the potential ROI, time savings, and quality improvements for proposed automation projects to gain stakeholder buy-in. Execute Technical Projects: Lead the end-to-end implementation of 1-2 small-scale automation tools or systems (e.g., automating tube dispenses or label application). Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work alongside the manufacturing and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of new hardware or software tools into the production line. Able to commit to a full-time internship program for 10-12 weeks during summer of 2026 Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program, or a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Demonstrated experience designing or implementing process automation through previous internships, academic projects, or lab work. Experience using data to identify process inefficiencies and proposing hardware or software-based solutions. Ability to document technical workflows and present project proposals to engineering leadership. Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for designing custom fixtures or tooling. Familiarity with automated visual inspection systems or liquid handling robotics. Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
