About The Position

NOTE: Candidates must live in or near the Woburn, MA area and be able to report to the Wilmington, MA facility following Sirtex's hybrid policy (currently 3 days/week in office and 2 days/week remote).Supporting manufacturing validations, production of finished goods, and quality inspections.Participate in continuous improvement activities to increase efficiencies and reduce waste.Execution of product testing including documentation.Development of test methods and protocols, and reporting of testing completed.Generation of solid models and drawings using SolidWorks.Investigation and assessments of materials, components and equipment options as needed for development or testing.Researching and summarizing applicable medical literature.Sourcing and ordering materials and supplies for engineering and development work.Maintenance of Engineering laboratory equipment and corresponding supplies inventory.Support design change controls documents in Sirtex QMS. (e.g. Design Trace Matrices, QSOP's, QWI's, Product Specifications)

Requirements

  • Currently working towards an engineering degree and ideally having experience in at least one prior internship.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels.
  • Highly organized, exhibiting meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently on assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an energetic, proactive, flexible individual with high integrity and ethics in all dealings.
  • Skilled with standard office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CAD programs, SolidWorks preferred.
