About The Position

Manufacturing Engineering Intern Salary: $25.00/ Hr. As the largest machine tool builder in the western world, we need world-class talent in all of our departments. The Engineering intern will work with experienced engineers on various types of projects as assigned. The intern may work with the Engineering staff to improve and develop work flow and design processes. During the course of the internship, the intern will be exposed to the many facets of engineering that contribute to the Haas CNC machine. Additionally, the intern may work in various locations of the Haas factory in order to gain real world machine tools experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc. • Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a 4-year accredited college or university
  • Skilled in MS Office, AutoCAD and other analytical and planning tools.
  • Strong analytic and statistic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Education Some courses completed from a college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.

  • Able to speak effectively before groups, customers, and/or employees of the organization.
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Must have the ability to apply concepts of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
