Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Intern will assist assisting manufacturing in improving product fit and finish as well as improving manufacturing processes. Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an Engineering degree program, mechanical or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with Creo, Autodesk Inventor or equivalent CAD system
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Strong Communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptable
  • Self-Starter
  • Must Work well individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to think critically and analytically

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and implement manufacturing equipment (fixtures, tools, machines)
  • Product/component simplification and standardization which included analysis of existing components, research on alternatives and design of new component layouts
  • Investigate, evaluate, document, and optimize existing manufacturing processes
  • The idea is that each intern works on a project that is tailored to the specific skills and interests of the candidate
