About The Position

Manufacturing Engineering Intern – Fall 2026 Location: Westerville, OH Duration: August - December 2026 (Full-Time) Launch Your Engineering Career Where Innovation Meets Impact At Lake Shore Cryotronics, our technologies help scientists explore the frontiers of physics and materials science. What You’ll Do As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you’ll be paired with an experienced mentor and immersed in both office and lab environments. Your mission? Drive process improvements that enhance our manufacturing capabilities. You’ll gain hands-on experience in: Project Management: Plan, document, and execute a real process improvement initiative. Problem Solving: Analyze product lines, identify inefficiencies, and propose smart solutions. Engineering Design : Create and maintain technical documentation and design fixtures using 3D modeling tools. Team Collaboration: Work side-by-side with professional engineers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity about how things work.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest or experience in 3D modeling/printing (SolidWorks is a plus).
  • Comfortable using basic tools (bonus if you’ve used mills or lathes).
