The Opportunity The Manufacturing Engineering Engineer I will work out of our Houston, TX location in the Abbott Vascular division. This is a fully onsite role. The Manufacturing Engineering Engineer I implements and sustains Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives and projects in all plant functions. Determines the most efficient sequence of operations through evaluation of human work factors, quality control, inventory control and production coordination. Establishes methods for maximum utilization of facilities and personnel. Conducts studies to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control and production record systems. Apply scientific, engineering knowledge, mathematics and ingenuity basic engineering assignments. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents.
