About The Position

You will be the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager for the Production operations team supporting the LEED and other related programs. Our team is responsible for delivering results that align with customer requirements and implementing engineering solutions. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of manufacturing engineers, driving new product development, and ensuring seamless transition to production. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Lead concurrent engineering efforts from concept through production transition. Manage schedule and budgetary execution for IRAD, CRAD, and Advanced Program initiatives. Oversee assembly, test, integration, automation, and complex electrical/mechanical processes. Mentor and review work of the manufacturing engineering team across multiple LM sites. Drive process improvement and engineering change incorporation to meet critical schedules. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in a related engineering discipline—such as mechanical, electrical, aerospace, materials, manufacturing, or industrial engineering—or an equivalent STEM degree.
  • Experience with electro‑mechanical system development.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with product manufacturability and design‑for‑cost for development programs (R&D, IRAD, CRAD).
  • Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, and material handling.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience in capacity and capital planning.
  • Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods.
  • Statement of work and proposal development experience.
  • Experience with make‑buy generation and strategy.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Readiness Level and/or Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRL/MRA 1 – 8).
