About The Position

Robert Bosch Automotive Steering LLC seeks Manufacturing Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15 Spiral Drive, Florence, KY 41042. Responsible for day-to-day engineering and problem solving (20%). Ensure targets are met regards to safety, quality, cost and delivery by reducing scrap, improving cycle time, and other process improvements for their respective area (15%). Work hand in hand with Maintenance, Operations, Quality, and Logistics to ensure targets are met (2%). Identify, analyze and implement improvements in cost, quality, safety and delivery (2%). Implement Lean Manufacturing principles in existing processes (1%). Contribute knowledge of manufacturing processes to Design for Manufacturability activities (10%). Develop and maintain APQP documents such as PFMEA, flow charts, etc (10%). Develop and maintain process documentation such as Set-up Instructions and Work Instructions (10%). Incorporate needs of Production into project and process activities (10%). Develop Preventive Maintenance and spare parts plan for equipment (2%). Provide and maintain project timelines and budgets (5%). Develop engineering practices and procedures to improve existing systems (4%). Support continuous improvement activities to address safety, quality and productivity for the assigned area (5%). Coordinate with maintenance to evaluate technician training gaps and recommended training (2%). Conduct regular audits (Quality- LPA, Workstation, 5S, Operator) (2%).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Automotive Engineer, or occupation involving Mechanical, Industrial, or Automotive Engineering.
  • Employment experience with: (1) Manufacturing processes; (2) Process Optimization; (3) PLC; (4) HMI; and (5) 2D/3D Modelling.
