Manufacturing Associate Position Overview: Assembles a variety of engine components according to a quality control plan and work instructions in a fast paced, repetitive manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone who demonstrates: Passionate customer focus Thoughtful, fast, disciplined execution A commitment to continuous improvement A relentless drive to succeed Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do: Assembly of engine components Check and verify quality components Housekeeping in assigned work area and entire plant Create and follow assembly work instructions and control plans Use problem solving techniques to understand and solve variation Responsible to meet hourly/daily production requirements Responsible for continuous process improvements, utilizing lean tools Here is some of what you’ll need (required): Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. 1-3 years of Assembly or Manufacturing Experience Ability to manage multi-tasks effectively Works well with established systems. Must be willing to rotate or work off-shifts Can read and interpret complex work instructions and control plans Ability to locate information and take appropriate actions Ability to observe work process flow and identify and resolve problems Ability to work in a self-directed team environment Here are the hours for our 2nd and 3rd Shifts: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts; 2nd shift 2pm-10pm or 3rd shift 10pm-6:00am. Overtime is required at times based on customer demands. Preferred Experience: Experience working with tight tolerances (1-10 micron) Quality training Experience in machining/assembling/testing components Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a production environment and requires standing for prolonged periods of time, using dexterity of arms, hand and fingers. Essential functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing, walking, reaching, and use of required safety protective equipment. Work may require performance of medium lifting of objects and materials up to fifty (50) pounds and specific vision abilities, including close vision, color vision, and depth perception. Job may involve exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and moderate levels of noise.
