Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Ability to work onsite daily in a hands-on environment
  • Strong initiative and willingness to learn
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable working in manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Internship, co-op, or project experience in manufacturing, mechanical systems, or process improvement
  • Exposure to CAD tools, basic troubleshooting, or lean/continuous improvement concepts
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day manufacturing or mechanical engineering tasks across production, quality, and process improvement
  • Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
  • Participate in equipment setup, testing, validation, or maintenance tasks as needed
  • Collect data, document findings, and contribute to process updates or standard work
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals
  • Perform hands-on work on the production floor to understand processes and drive improvements
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
  • Contribute to projects that impact communities in Horace, West Fargo, Harwood, Moorhead, and Dilworth, and the greater Fargo, ND metro
