The Manufacturing Engineer – Super Large HEX Assembly is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to support safe, high-quality, and efficient assembly operations. This role provides hands-on engineering support to production and drives process capability, cost, and delivery improvements in a complex assembly environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge or experience with: AutoCAD Teamcenter Visualization PFMEA and SFMEA APQP RCCA Lean manufacturing methodology Virtual Process Planning software SAP and SAP ME
  • Understanding of tool design concepts and torque principles.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot assembly processes.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned deliverables.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting large, complex assemblies or heavy equipment manufacturing.
  • Experience with process launches, continuous improvement initiatives, or production support roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing engineering support for Super Large HEX assembly processes.
  • Develop, document, and maintain assembly processes using Virtual Process Planning and Teamcenter Visualization software.
  • Create and update layouts, tooling concepts, and assembly documentation using AutoCAD.
  • Lead and maintain PFMEA and SFMEA activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing risk.
  • Support APQP deliverables including process readiness, validation, and launch activities.
  • Drive root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for safety, quality, and delivery issues.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, improve flow, and increase process capability.
  • Support production execution and reporting through SAP and SAP ME systems.
  • Collaborate with Tool Design to develop, validate, and implement assembly tooling and fixtures.
  • Apply torque principles and mechanical fundamentals to ensure robust assembly quality.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering.
  • Demonstrate strong personal ownership, accountability, and self‑driven execution.
