About The Position

Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools throughout the enterprise, including Value Stream Mapping, structured problem solving, root cause analysis, 5s+, work instructions, etc. Evaluate, analyze and improve operations and engineering processes using fundamentally sound manufacturing principles to ensure excellence in safety, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and quality. Initiate, develop and lead capital improvement projects including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups. Foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the business by creating, leading and communicating opportunities for quality, productivity, flow and safety improvement. Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities including production layout, materials and costing for new products. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience or internship in an engineering function
  • Three (3)+ years experience in manufacturing engineering in a high mix / low volume manufacturing environment
  • AutoCAD system experience and required working knowledge and experience with computers
  • Experience with MRP systems (SAP)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
