About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting CNC machining processes, including programming and optimizing milling and lathe operations. This role ensures efficient production, high-quality standards, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years in CNC machining environment (milling and lathe operations).
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
  • Experience with Milling and Lathe Operations.
  • CNC Programming (Fanuc, Siemens)
  • Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma
  • Tooling Design and Selection
  • CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, Mastercam)
  • Process Validation & PPAP
  • Strong knowledge of G-code programming and CNC controls.
  • Understanding and use of GD&T, material properties, and cutting tool technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Process Documentation & Work Instructions.
  • Quality Control & Inspection Tools, including CMM.
  • Basic PLC Programming.
  • Design and creation of custom fixtures for complex parts.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams for new product introduction.
  • Ability to create training documentation and conduct technical training to employees with varying degrees of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 5-8 Years of experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with automation and robotic integration.
  • Familiarity with G&M Code, Modeling Softwares
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement CNC machining processes for new and existing products.
  • Participate cross-functionally with Quality and lead department-specific APQP actions as required, including product validation.
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for milling and lathe operations.
  • Develop and maintain CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for cycle time reduction and cost savings.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to resolve machining-related issues and improve inspection processes.
  • Support installation, setup, and troubleshooting of CNC machines.
  • Recommend upgrades or replacements for tooling and equipment.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and setup sheets.
  • Train operators and technicians on best practices for CNC machining.
