About The Position

Job Purpose: The manufacturing engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.

Requirements

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of production principles and techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD, NX and Teamcenter software.
• Experience in SAP.
• BS Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, and management.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes/procedures/tooling, product flow, and quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods by utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling as well as production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
• Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment along with workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Coordinate implementation of ECO with production.
• Establish and maintain production routings.
• Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
• Interact with all areas of Management, Production employees, and Engineering.
• Develop and maintain work instructions for production lines.
