About The Position

Manufacturing Engineer The Opportunity: As a manufacturing engineer, you know the complexities of defining, managing, and verifying the supply chain resources, manufacturing processes, met hods, and tools needed to produce hardware. Producing one-off, precision-manufactured hardware requires coordination of the design process, supply chain, manufacturing resources, vendors, tooling, and process capability to optimize the investment of resources and deliver hardware on cost and schedule. That’s why we need a manufacturing engineer like you who can help ensure success through your technical expertise and effective communication. On our team, you’ll be part of manufacturing and delivering hardware in support of Air Force aircraft sustainment, fabrication, and production projects. You’ll work with key stakeholders turning engineering designs into hardware reality. You’ll work with other engineering stakeholders to assure manufacturability of designs and with vendors to define and implement the processes, met hods, and tools required to deliver hardware. You’ll have regular interactions with subject matter experts, mission partners, chief engineers, subcontractors, vendors, program management, and more. Your main impact as a manufacturing engineer comes from communication to ensure the program achieves its goals and meets our quality standards. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with manufacturing engineering in a fabrication, manufacturing, or machining shop setting
  • Experience with CAD or CAM sof tware
  • Experience with Operating Process Definition in machining or assembly operations
  • Experience with preventative maintenance for machining tools
  • Experience using Design for Manufacturing or Design for Assembly processes support design and development projects
  • Ability to function independently as a self-starter and manage work efficiently
  • Ability to manage manufacturing project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement projects
  • Experience with Root Cause or Corrective Action tools
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD design sof tware such as SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 for Geo met ric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
