About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in designing, improving, and implementing manufacturing processes that drive efficiency, quality, and operational excellence. This role partners closely with New Product Development to ensure seamless manufacturability of new products while optimizing existing production methods. The Manufacturing Engineer leads process enhancements, develops tooling and fixtures, leverages data-driven insights, and applies Lean principles to reduce waste, improve workflow, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

Requirements

  • Required High School Diploma
  • 0-3 year’s working experience in an Engineering role
  • Must be fluent in blueprint reading
  • Must be experienced in computer skills with MS Word, CAD CAM Systems and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field and/or 0-3 years’ working experience
  • Ability to create designs using Solid Works
  • Robotic welding experience
  • Experience / training in Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement

Responsibilities

  • Design, manufacture and/or program final product, individual components, prototypes, tooling and manufacturing devices (custom design fixtures and devices for in-house use).
  • Evaluate highly technical production and process problems and coordinate investigations and improvements.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, develop time standards and develop processes for various operations.
  • Lead in developing new operation layouts to maximize utilization of floor space and man-power.
  • Key contributor to capital equipment selection and purchases.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce non-value added activities and increase quality, delivery, safety, customer satisfaction and minimize production costs.
  • Coordinate tooling to support design specifications and schedule for new products or enhancements.
  • Initiate and process Engineering Changes in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Lead, track, update and communicate progress of assigned engineering projects.
  • Leverage data analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
