We aim to be the first to do the right thing at the right time.   Join the home for entrepreneurs!   The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. This role requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of manufacturing principles, along with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials science, supply management, or a related field
  • You have experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Your background is in custom automation design and manufacturing
  • You are proficient with CAD software (AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks) and familiar with ERP systems such as SAP
  • You have a strong understanding of materials science and product design principles, including material selection and application
  • You know PLC programming and industrial control systems
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and support decision-making
  • You have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • You have a strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting, proficiency with Power BI or Access

Nice To Haves

  • Your certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred

Responsibilities

  • You will design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
  • You will evaluate product designs and identify product cost reduction opportunities
  • You will collaborate with product design, procurement, and development teams to ensure manufacturability of new products
  • You will analyze production data and implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase productivity, and enhance product quality
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues
  • You will develop and implement process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process flow diagrams
  • You will conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
  • You will evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and equipment to improve production capabilities
  • You will lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen events
  • You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing processes
  • You will provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment
