About The Position

Manufacturing Engineer (Latham, NY) Leveraging your experience, you will lead complex projects, provide advanced technical support, and mentor junior team members while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Your expertise in process optimization, equipment integration, and change management will help shape the future of our manufacturing capabilities and support our business objectives. Your role: Be part of a Manufacturing Engineering organization of approximately 35 professionals, including Engineers, IT Specialists, Drafters, and Technicians, supporting site manufacturing operations. This role contributes to cross-functional execution and technical alignment across multiple disciplines. Lead and execute complex manufacturing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements that deliver measurable results. Provide advanced technical support for manufacturing operations, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and mentoring junior engineers. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards at all times. Manage the installation and ramp-up of new equipment and technologies, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration into production. Evaluate and optimize equipment performance for efficiency and reliability. Support change management activities, including operations change orders and continuous improvement initiatives. Facilitate Kaizen events and structured problem-solving to address root causes and sustain improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing/ Operations, Production Engineering, or equivalent; within Medical Devices industry preferably.
  • Proficiency with automation, electro-mechanical systems, and change management tools (Windchill /Reliance EtQ); Lean Six Sigma Methodologies; deep understanding of regulatory, safety, and quality requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's / master's degree in mechanical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, or related field.
  • Ability to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • Effective communicator with consolidated leadership and organizational skills, as well as proven ability to manage projects, mentor others and collaborate in cross-functional environments.
