About The Position

Join the Manufacturing Engineering group in the Lockheed Martin Sensor Integration and Test Center. What You Will Be Doing A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for: Translating complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into easy to follow, all-encompassing work instructions for the mechanics/assemblers on the production floor. You will be tasked with improving the overall process of the build using complex, cutting edge technologies and automation. You will exercise your technical background to solve complex problems with troubleshooting and new development of processes for ever changing products being built in our factory. Other job functions include RCCA, Lean Six Sigma improvement efforts, as well as developing process improvements in order to lower cost, increase quality, and deliver a better, repeatable product faster. Requirements

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Position requires 2+ years of production engineering experience with a related Bachelor’s degree or a related Master’s degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and can obtain a Security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience writing technical work instructions
  • Able to work in a cross functional, teaming environment
  • Detailed knowledge of GD&T
  • SAP Experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing, concepts, and techniques
  • CREO/ProE experience with a focus on tool design
  • Experience working with electro-mechanical and/or optical assemblies
