About The Position

Develops, evaluates and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0 to 3 years of experience preferred, or equivalent industrial experience will be considered for the right skill set.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills and Analytical thinking skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • General understanding of PLC’s; Allen Bradley, Siemens, Keyence Ladder Logic understanding, programming basics

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge to program in Python
  • Equip Mechanical, Welding, Mig/Tig/Gas
  • Experience with AUTOCAD, Solid Works Software Packages
  • Some Machining, Small Machining Center and Small Lathe, Basic Operation.
  • Work with Key Vendors to resolve problems with equipment.
  • Work with Vendors on equipment quotes and capital projects

Responsibilities

  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities, or other information to facilitate production processes
  • Confer with vendors to determine specifications of processes and arrange equipment, material purchase and equipment.
  • Specify peripheral equipment specifications and write capital expense requests as needed.
  • Develop statements of work for equipment upgrades (Controls Upgrade)
  • Assist the Maintenance Dept when needed to return the equipment to operational standard.
  • PLC Programming with Allen Braley, Keyence and/or Siemens
  • Understanding and troubleshooting of load cells, Analog inputs (0-10Vdc or 4-20Ma)
  • Understanding of basic Hydraulics and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable working in 480VAC Panels, for troubleshooting
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
