Be Relentless-Demand more from yourself and the TEAM than you think is imaginable, this will drive change and only then will we achieve our goals. #WelcomeHomeToCreativeFoam MAJOR FUNCTION: To administer and control the development of product in manufacturing and appropriate manufacturing methods/processes at the most cost-effective level while meeting the quality, quantity and long term objectives of the company, assists in the maintenance of equipment tooling and facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor' s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience with emphasis on Mfg, product, and process engineering.
  • High degree of organization and administrative skills.
  • Thermoforming processing experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Some facility/tooling background skills desired.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and coordinates production procedures, identifying process needs, improvements and changes, and leads projects designed to implement process changes that are identified or as directed.
  • Develops processes to manufacture products through effective utilization of in-house build programs, outside vendor build programs and equipment vendors.
  • Supports the tooling needs of the plan locations by developing, implementing and directing a tooling program that includes cost effective development of new tooling, tooling modifications, tooling vendors/suppliers and expediting to manufacturing.
  • Trains and motivates a staff capable of effectively achieving established objectives.
  • Responsible for the accurate and adequate storage of engineering records and documented to provide support and verification of process and product changes.
  • Prepares and provides, as required, cost analysis and justification rationales for any and all engineered changes.
  • Prepares project cost estimates and budgets as required including automation equipment.
  • Develops or assist in developing products using either external or internal sources and/or expertise.
  • Maintains effective communications with Manufacturing, Quality Control, Material Control, Marketing and Sample Room.
  • Updates and stays current with state-of-the-art engineering procedures, processes, materials and manufacturing techniques in order to advise and assist various departments in meeting the objectives of the company.
  • May provide recommendations for new products within company objectives.
  • Performs special projects and other assignments as requires by the Engineering Manager.
