Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering required
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in a metal manufacturing environment preferred; internships and co-op experience can be considered towards experience
  • Knowledge of fixture design, implementation, and optimization
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis
  • Capable of working independently and as a team member
  • Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset
  • Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Desire to work on a variety of projects

Responsibilities

  • Optimize production workflows using hands‑on manufacturing experience
  • Identify safety risks and implement hazard‑mitigation solutions
  • Lead process‑improvement initiatives to reduce waste and boost efficiency
  • Support capital projects, including equipment upgrades and facility enhancements
  • Assist with fixture development to improve consistency, reduce cycle times, and enable new product launches
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners across southern Minnesota
  • Contribute to projects that impact communities in Ripon, Appleton, OshKosh, and the surrounding areas
  • Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation
