About The Position

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team to optimize current manufacturing processes and implement new manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate will be a good problem solver that designs, develops, and optimizes production systems to make manufacturing efficient, safe, and cost-effective. Key duties involve analyzing workflows, troubleshooting issues, designing tooling, collaborating cross-functionally, and integrating lean principles to enhance overall output and product quality. The Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in mechanical or industrial engineering (or related field), or 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required:
  • 3-D solid modeling (Solidworks preferred)
  • 2-D CAD drafting experience (Draftsight/AutoCAD)
  • Spreadsheet Software (Excel/Google Sheets)
  • PLM software
  • ERP software
  • Project Management software
  • Email Software (Google)

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Good administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, and facility layouts to maximize efficiency.
  • Identify and implement automation, robotics, and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues and process inefficiencies, suggesting and implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide specialized technical expertise and support for all manufacturing activities.
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product issues related to design, materials, or manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure product adherence to specifications, focusing on defect reduction and lowering production costs.
  • Select, install, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing machinery and tooling.
  • Prepare detailed reports, technical documents, and drawings to communicate project status and progress.
  • Accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical specifications for task execution.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Design, Quality, Maintenance, and Production.
  • Conduct training for production personnel on new equipment or revised processes.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
