Manufacturing Engineer This position provides process design for complex industrial systems for proposals and projects. It provides inputs and take part on developing our products further. Works under little supervision for standard tasks. Your Responsibilities: Manufacturing Engineer Functions CNC Machine Programming, selects tools, makes tooling, procedural etc. notation on programs as necessary. Monitor runoff of new jobs. Receive feedback from operators and team leaders as to corrections/modifications to the process. Adjust routing and standards to reflect any changes made during the runoff. Proactive maintenance of fixtures and gages in inventory and listings on routers. Troubleshoot existing processes. Assume some of the Manufacturing Engineer Manager’s responsibilities during his absences as needed. Meetings, daily paper work, etc… Process Non-Conformances. Supply routing and components required to accomplish rework. Establish new part process for router, select machines, and establish run times. Determine if fixturing/tooling/gaging is required and notify Manufacturing Engineering Manager of design requirements. Design and develop fixture/tooling/gage prints as needed. Initiate a fixture/gage work order process. Develop fixture bill of materials. Add note to work order. Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Review ECN’s and make necessary changes to programs and/or routers. Review, assign and close Continuous Improvement ideas. Assist others to implement and to facilitate closing out the Continuous Improvement idea. Proactive maintenance of routers to ensure integrity…review work orders and make corrections as necessary on routers. With existing router changes, update in the computer system, reprint if necessary and make sure program is changed and/or available for machining. • Estimate production time related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confer with Manufacturing Engineering Manager regarding manufacturing capabilities and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Monitor percent of standard and adjust or recommend changes as needed to the Machine Shop Manager and/or MFG ENG Manager.
