About The Position

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr for the Machining Operations Center (MOC) within Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Our team is responsible for producing ultra‑precision machined components that enable infrared and electro‑optical targeting systems for critical defense platforms. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer Sr you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality precision parts while supporting continuous improvement across the Orlando site. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Collaborate with Manufacturing, Industrial, and Quality Engineers and production stakeholders to define machining solutions. Develop, refine, and maintain CAM programs and machining strategies for CNC mills, lathes, and other precision equipment. Create and update detailed work instructions, fixtures, and tooling drawings that drive consistent shop‑floor execution. Provide on‑site support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues and lead root‑cause investigations for non‑conformances. Monitor and report on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects, driving corrective actions as needed. Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience with precision machining (CNC lathes, CNC mills, etc.) capabilities, methods, cutting tools, and fixtures used to manufacture precision components made from aluminum alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and other common aerospace alloys.
  • Experienced user of Computer Aided (CAD) software
  • Working experience utilizing Siemens NX CAM software
  • Working experience with G-code
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.
  • General understanding of Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.
