About The Position

You will be the CNC Maintenance Mechanic for the Controls Team. Our team is responsible for ultra‑precision machining, additive manufacturing, and the development of complex optical and electronic systems for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. As the CNC Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing CNC and electromechanical control systems that keep our advanced manufacturing equipment running. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC and multi‑purpose electromechanical control systems. Testing, adjusting, and maintaining mechanical portions of automatic control instruments. Operating machines through required cycles to verify mechanical and electronic specifications. Performing incidental welding in conjunction with normal maintenance activities. Setting up precision test tools and conducting detailed operational tests. Requirements

  • Must have the ability to work 1st or 2nd shifts in accordance to the collective bargaining agreement.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams, schematics, drawings, performance specifications, and operating requirements of industrial manufacturing equipment to include CNC multi-purpose mechanical and/or electromechanical control systems.
  • Knowledgeable in the setup of a variety of highly sensitive, precision test tools and equipment.
  • Prior experience with machine maintenance such as: operating CNC machines through cycles to check mechanical portion of electronic and/or electromechanical systems, detecting variations from specifications, analyzing results of tests to locate and determine the cause of the malfunction, modifying and adjusting settings to related equipment in order to properly align mechanical systems, and repairing faulty components.
  • Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. Citizens to be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Mazak mills and lathes, Mitsui Seiki mills, Hass milling machines.
  • Experience with Tecport coating chamber, Hoffman polisher, computer controls such as Mitsubishi, Fanuc.
