The facility features experienced teams working with plasma, frame and wire spraying, polyurethane and sermetel painting, as well as heat treating, brazing, and TIG welding operations, complemented by a world-class evaluation and testing facility. As a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in special processes, the role involves leveraging expertise in manufacturing technologies to support business goals and programs related to aircraft engine component repair. This on-site position requires a strong foundation in functional skills and knowledge of relevant aircraft engine technologies, and it entails collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 2 years in manufacturing / process improvement engineering experience (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing)
  • Ability to support off-shifts and weekends as needed
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, nationals of the United States, asylees, and refugees) due to access to export-controlled technology.
  • Must pass background and drug screens.
  • Ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing special processes, including mechanical cleaning and welding
  • Conduct metallography evaluations and prepare reports for production and/or new product introduction
  • Create and maintain manufacturing processes, equipment, and process instructions to ensure process control, stability, and conformance
  • Drive improvements that lead to cost reduction, productivity enhancements, and product quality improvements
  • Support repair industrializations aligned with repair readiness levels, including tooling, planning, and equipment
  • Investigate, develop, and apply new technologies to manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other manufacturing engineers to deliver results and drive innovation
