About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer – Machining collaborates closely with fellow engineers and plant teams to analyze process issues, troubleshoot machining and assembly equipment, and ensure optimal operational performance. This role is responsible for selecting and implementing equipment within the facility, as well as leading, mentoring, and developing the team members who report directly to them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 7-8+ years of experience and leading technical projects
  • Ability to train others
  • Expert-level knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Engineering.
  • Extensive experience with customer communication and engineering change systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of company products and services acquired through experience and training.
  • In-depth understanding of engineering techniques, principles, procedures of their particular field to the completion of difficult assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Enhancing machine functionality through targeted improvements and modifications.
  • Leading continuous improvement and equipment upgrade projects.
  • Managing complex troubleshooting initiatives to resolve production equipment issues.
  • Planning workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment/workspace layout for optimal efficiency.
  • Participating actively in departmental meetings.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing engineers and design teams to ensure efficient product design and tooling.
  • Validating specifications for purchasing equipment, materials, tooling, fixtures, and parts to meet quality standards.
  • Consulting with engineering on supplier options and support final technical decisions; evaluate equipment performance and validate production times, staffing needs, and costs.
