Manufacturing Engineer - Level 2
About The Position
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer - Level 2 for the F‑16 Mate team which is responsible for supporting all phases of the F‑16 platform’s manufacturing plan, production stand‑up, and post‑delivery sustainment. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer - Level 2 you will be responsible for integrating engineering, shop‑floor, and quality inputs to ensure efficient aircraft production. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing plans and process documentation for the F‑16 platform. Collaborate with shop‑floor personnel, design engineering, quality, and industrial engineering to resolve production issues. Support corrective‑action initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects on the production line. Assist in the planning and execution of post‑delivery sustainment and modification activities. Provide technical guidance and training to operators to improve process reliability and safety. Requirements
- STEM Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in an Operations role with hands-on applications of engineering and manufacturing principles
- Experience working process improvement and corrective action efforts
- Experience interpreting Engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturability
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
- This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Nice To Haves
- Strong ability in written and verbal technical communication skills
- Previous manufacturing/operations experience (2 to 5 years)
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling
- Experience with manufacturing tooling design and fabrication
- Understanding and demonstrated application of technical and problem solving skills in the area of manufacturing and production
