About The Position

This internship is designed for an actively enrolled college student pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field. The position is anticipated to be full-time during the summer (approximately 40 hours per week) and will be an in-person, on-site role at our facility. Interns will work directly with our engineering and manufacturing teams on real projects and daily operations. The Engineering Intern will gain both hands-on manufacturing and engineering design experience. By working in the various manufacturing departments, the intern will gain knowledge of the product and the manufacturing process. The intern will also be responsible for entry level engineering design work and manufacturing support projects. Primary Objectives: • Generate CAD models and drawings for industry-leading hydraulic cylinder solutions. • Process engineering change orders. • Design solutions for manufacturing process improvement. • Provide engineering support to manufacturing for design improvement.

Requirements

  • In process of obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, Junior/Senior level.
  • Capable in a 3-D CAD modeling package, Autodesk Inventor preferred.
  • Knowledge of fluid power principles.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quick learner with a high level of ambition and drive.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create CAD models and drawings for new designs and ECOs.
  • Help develop engineering standards and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Support manufacturing staff with design support and troubleshooting.
  • Engage in companywide EOS/Traction initiatives.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
