Essential Functions: Process Analysis: Assist in conducting time studies, value stream mapping, and bottleneck analysis to identify areas for efficiency gains. Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze production data (OEE, scrap rates, cycle times) to track the performance of current processes and the impact of implemented changes. Project Support: Work alongside Manufacturing Engineers on capital projects, including equipment layout optimization and the integration of new technologies. Lean Implementation: Assist in organizing and participating in Kaizen events and 5S workplace organizational initiatives. Documentation: Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flowcharts to ensure best practices are sustained. Root Cause Analysis: Participate in problem-solving sessions using tools such as Fishbone diagrams or the 5 Whys to address quality or production issues. Added Responsibilities: Help in production as necessary to meet production goals. Education and Experience: AutoCAD experience a plus. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering.
