Pay Range: $16.80 - $23.10 All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time. Pay Rate: Undergraduate Student: $18 per hour Graduate Student: $24 per hour Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer Intern is responsible for identifying and executing projects relating to current and future manufacturing processes in Filling, Kitting, Packaging, and Shipping departments here are Bio-Techne Minneapolis site. Ensure the manufacturing systems are running according to specifications and within regulations in the production of quality products. The individual will determine gaps and optimize Raw Materials (RMs), Labor, Equipment, and Systems required for Manufacturing departments to achieve our goals of producing quality products for the customers.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's or graduate-level degree in a field relevant to the internship
  • Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program
  • Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college
  • Basic understanding of problem-solving tools and methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, develop, and implement new automation processes for product filling, kit assembly, and packaging utilizing Robotics, Vision systems, COBOT (collaborative robots) systems to reduce labor content and improve product quality.
  • Generate, develop, and execute validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) protocols for manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Lead or support automation-related troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
