Where You Will Work Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments. The Job: As a Manufacturing Engineer III here, you’ll be part of our engineering team working as an onsite employee…develops, evaluates and enhances manufacturing methods for aerospace machined components, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, lean principles, assembly methods and quality control standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering (OR equivalent hands-on relevant experience will also be considered)
  • 3+ years of engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of CNC manufacturing and aerospace standards.
  • Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP standards
  • Knowledge of GD&T, fixturing and gaging methods.
  • Statistical process control experience in the aerospace industry
  • Basic Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite products, and strong knowledge of Solidworks or other modeling software.
  • Experience in metal manufacturing, especially using titanium and/or nickel based superalloys,
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Assist with creating and maintaining work instructions, routers, and standard operating procedures
  • Support process changes, validations and shop-floor improvements
  • Participating in NPI, FAI, and Continuous Improvement Projects
  • Collects and analyzes basic manufacturing data (cycle time, scrap rate, yield)
  • Reviews and implements manufacturing drawing and engineering change notices
  • Support Cost-Reduction and Efficiency initiatives
  • Participates in PFMEA, Process Capability, and RCCA studies
