A Day in the Life As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will support the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes that enable high-quality, life-changing products for our patients. Working under general supervision, you will apply engineering fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset to enhance product performance, improve manufacturing methods, and reduce costs in a systematic and inclusive way. We’re working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. In this role, you will: Review and update manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies and equipment. Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques. Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 2 years relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with injection molding, assembly processes and fusing technologies.
  • Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience within medical device manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with basic statistical analysis or statistical software.
  • Experience supporting hands-on engineering work such as troubleshooting, equipment setup, or process experiments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, technicians, and production teams.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
