About The Position

Sloan is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer II that will be based out of our Andover, MA location and will report to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager. This role will perform functions to develop, maintain, and specify manufacturing processes to manufacture the company product lines on an economic and efficient basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Technology
  • 5+ Years Experience with manufacturing technologies, processes, methods, machining, assembly
  • 5+ Years Experience with company operations, product lines, or practices
  • 5+ Years Relevant Experience
  • Critical thinking and analytical proficiency.
  • Demonstrates clear, professional, and respectful verbal and written communication in all interactions, consistent with an inclusive work environment.
  • Must have experience using Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Must have experience with electrical mechanical assembly
  • Must possess the ability to collaborate with co-workers, production personnel, and outside vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB)
  • Advanced level experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • General experience working with SAP ERP Business System.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain production equipment
  • Identify and implement cost reductions through plant manufacturing operations
  • Assist in the design of products to develop "Design for Manufacturing" parts and processes
  • Analyze, review and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using LEAN manufacturing techniques
  • Recommend, justify, and implement the installation of new equipment and processes
  • Prepare routings, process sheets, work instructions, and process drawings as required and establish feeds, speeds, cycle times and other operating parameters for all types of equipment
  • Support Production personnel in trouble-shooting process and/or quality problems.
  • Determine and establish overall manufacturing engineering requirements for items such as, but not limited, to machinery, equipment, tooling, manufacturing methods and processes, and routings.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
