The Manufacturing Engineer leads engineering initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to meet operational goals within our Access and Delivery Solution Assembly (ASDA) business. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Practical understanding of manufacturing problem solving, data analysis and production flow tools such as LEAN manufacturing
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the medical device industry
  • Experience with polymers, sub-assemblies and/or thermal processes
  • Experience with validation and qualification of equipment and processes
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop and present ideas via visual communication methods

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, implementing, and managing equipment requirements to support production; prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results to the technical community
  • Planning, organizing and prioritizing daily work to meet production and project goals; anticipating risks and responding positively to unforeseen problems
  • Monitoring the performance of equipment and processes; troubleshoot and identify the root cause of non-conformances, low yields, and other quality/production issues
  • Troubleshooting issues related to the design, material, or processes of new and existing products
  • Designing and coordinating standard engineering tests and experiments; summarize, analyze and interpret results
  • Collaborating with divisional customer teams (e.g. R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.) to deliver on change management, process improvements, or business continuity projects
  • Utilizing tools such as process capability studies, process development, Six Sigma and Value Improvement projects to meet business goals; prepare reports and process/test documentation
  • Communicating effectively with peers, operations management, and supporting divisions (R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Project Management, etc.)
