About the role: We are searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to support and lead initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to meet operational goals. This role is responsible for supporting balloon molding processes across multiple products in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment. This individual will be required to routinely partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate, troubleshoot and implement manufacturing processes within the business unit. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline
  • Previous Internship or co-op level engineering experience
  • Understanding of problem-solving methods, basic statistical tools, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to provide creative solutions and collaboratively draw ideas from cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience in an FDA/ISO regulatory environment
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization across diverse teams
  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • Experience with document control software
  • Experience with Minitab, SQL, Solidworks

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the performance of equipment and processes to troubleshoot and analyze the root cause of non-conformances, low yields, and other issues related to production and product quality
  • Collaborating with manufacturing operators and technicians to plan and prioritize daily work and meet production and project goals; anticipate risks and address unexpected challenges
  • Applying problem solving methodologies to address manufacturing issues related to equipment, processes, and scrap
  • Identifying and escalating quality signals to ensure alignment with the quality system requirements
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to support projects and achieve common business goals
  • Collaborating with divisional customer teams including PD, R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Quality to deliver new product introductions, change management, process improvements, or business continuity projects.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to interpret and report findings to peers and management
  • Identifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities; communicate with key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met
